Meet patty feist

Embracing my Canadian heritage, I find myself surrounded by the splendor of nature, perpetually immersed in boundless wonder. Traveling the world has gifted me with unexpected moments of inspiration and profound awe. I've scaled mountains in solitude, navigated the heart of military coups in Zimbabwe and Turkey, stood amidst majestic elephant herds, shared an empty train compartment with a prisoner, and witnessed the miracle of a newborn's first breath. Yet, amidst these adventures, I've never plucked an orange from a tree.

My art mirrors the diversity of my travels, spanning a spectrum from vibrant, bursting abstracts to the elegant simplicity of black and white zebras. I express my creativity through acrylics, watercolors, graphite, and ink. Each painting takes on a life of its own, guided not by my hand, but by the essence within the work. It speaks to me, revealing its identity, and I listen intently. My artistic journey is primarily self-taught and intuitive, shaped by collaborations with talented artists in locales spanning the globe, including Toulouse, France; Lake Como, Italy; Carmel, USA; New York, USA; Isle of Man, British Isles; and Kelowna, Canada.

I consider it a privilege to have showcased my work both locally and internationally, with my creations finding homes in private and corporate collections worldwide. The true essence of my art lies in its ability to forge connections without words. Through color and form, my pieces communicate, touching the soul of the observer. In the profound words of George Bernard Shaw: "You use a glass mirror to see your face; you use works of art to see your soul."
